I am happily married to my lovely wife Sara since September of 2014. We have a son, Noah, and a cat named Bailey.
How long have you been working at Life Community & what do you do here?
I have been here at Life Community Kirkland since June of 2015. In October of 2016 I started as the lead pastor out in our Snoqualmie church.
What relevant education or work experience prepared you for your position?
I graduated from Northwest Nazarene University with a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy of Religion in 2015 and received my Master of Arts in Missional Leadership in 2018. Beyond formal education, I have learned from participating ministry for my whole life! My father is a children’s pastor and I have been a part of his ministry as long as I can remember. God has given me a passion and insight into the church and continually seeking to learn more and more!
Tell us about your hobbies?
I love art and nature. If I am not watching a new movie or designing, I am most likely out on the trails hiking with camera and my son in tote.
Favorite book of all time (not including the Bible)?
It’s definitly a close call between The Grapes of Wrath by John Steinbeck, Old Man and the Sea by Ernest Hemingway, or The Tale of Desperaux by Kate DiCamillo.
Favorite ice cream?
Caramel Caribou! it’s caramelly, peanut buttery, and delicious!
Favorite band of all time?
The Beatles. Hands down.
Your favorite movie/TV Show?
Star Wars, Hostage, The Sixth Sense, Lord of the Rings, Phantom of the Opera, Across the Universe, and so many more! Guilty movie pleasure usually is watching Moana for the 27th time.
Favorite TV Shows are the Office and Psych.
Where is your happy place?
Coffee shop, on the mountain, a mountain themed coffee shop, or on a mountain with coffee.
