Married the love of my life, Shannon, in the summer of 2000. We have 3 amazing kids: Caden, Sophia, and Abby.
How long have you been working at Life Community & what do you do here?
I started at Life Community Church in November 2019 as the Family Life Pastor and then transitioned to take the role as lead in March of 2021.
What relevant education or work experience prepared you for your position?
I attended NNU receiving my B.A. in Religious Studies in 2006 and my M.A. in Pastoral Ministries in 2008. I’ve served in various ministry roles beginning as a youth pastor in 2002 and as a senior pastor from 2008-2019.
Tell us about your hobbies?
I enjoy rooting for the Mariners, home improvement projects, and playing guitar.
Favorite book of all time (not including the Bible)?
The book that I have purchased the most (because I keep giving it to friends to read) is “God of the Possible” by Greg Boyd. It was the beginning of seeing God in a whole new light for me. Brad Jersak’s “A More Christlike God” is quickly becoming a close second.
Favorite band of all time?
MxPx all day every day.
Your favorite movie/TV?
Nacho Libre has it all: a lovable underdog, redemption, romance, comedy, luchadores, and is fun for the whole family.
Where is your happy place?
A quick getaway to Whidbey Island always does the trick.
